Diary Updates – January 2022

January is normally such a long month but it seems to have gone by really fast for a change.  On the plus side I did manage to post a few times and even got some games played.  However, February has been one thing after another so despite having written most of this before the end of January it is taking until now to post… oh well at least it is posted now!

Outside of gaming and blogging there isn’t much I can really talk about.  That isn’t to say nothing has been happening but nothing much of note that I want to add here.  It’s all been fine really!  (Oh how I wish this had stayed true)

I played through Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom (PS4) and loved it.  I have the DLC so I’m slowly grinding before I attempt some of the harder aspects.  I finished the story and trophy requirements for the main game at around level 75 and attempting one particular DLC battle was a struggle at that level.  So a bit of casual grinding continues and I’ll see if it helps when I attempt DLC quests.

I went back to Uncharted 4 (PS4) to try to mop up some more trophies.  So far I did the multiplayer trophies from the base game and a playthrough attempting to get some of the miscellaneous trophies like leapfrog and getting the collectibles.  I haven’t decided if I want to try to get the platinum yet because it involves a speedrun and a crushing playthrough but I want to see if I can get as many of the rest of the trophies as possible.

I love this tiger costume!

Sackboy: A Big Adventure (PS5) has been the other main game I have been playing this month.  I am trying to get all the orbs, do every level without dying and all the speedruns.  Basically I’m trying to do everything so I’m making slow progress.  I also need to try to rope in my husband for the teamwork levels and he is putting it off (he isn’t a fan of platformers for the most part!). Hopefully I can get him to join me for a few levels next month when he has some time off work…

I’m still dipping into Forza Horizon 5 (XSX/S) as and when I feel like it.  I haven’t quite done every race yet so working my way through them. It is a great game to just jump in and do a few things (races, events, stunts, trying to find more boards).
