One Year On…

Happy blog-versary to me! The Gaming Diaries here is one year old.

Today I just want to take the opportunity to thank you all for reading, following the blog here or on Twitter or Facebook, and sticking with me on this blogging journey. Come say hi here or on social media.

I had been to-ing and fro-ing on whether to start this blog for ages before finally starting it a year ago and I am so glad I did. The community here is fantastic and I am so grateful to have found so many wonderful blogs to follow and interact with.

Some of my favourite posts from the year were those involved with Creative Christmas and Charming and Open. These were great fun and they let me be a bit more creative and the prompts were great fun. I also enjoyed writing the Overheard in a Game Shop posts as the experiences in game shops can make me laugh sometimes even though I kind of stopped regular posts of these they do still exist, just with less regular postings. I have one drafted so it will be posted! (Not scheduled yet but it will be coming) A backlog can definitely be relatable to so many gamers and this post was quite popular in terms of views when I first posted it which was the first time I had really had that so it was really exciting. People still view that post as well which is always nice to see.

I have grown and developed in the last year and want to continue to in the future. I have been viewed from so many more countries than I could have ever imagined. Though I do want to see if I can fill out the map a bit more…

Does anyone want to share with friends in Greenland, Norway or Sweden for starters? Then just the rest of the world to go…

Hopefully the coming year will be just as good. Though in that spirit I am making a few changes… As regular readers will be aware, I have been struggling with my mental health which means regular posting has gone a bit here and there. I want to build up my posts and increase again, on a regular basis, but until I feel better and have the ability to write a bit more I am not committing to anything. There will be some weeks with 2 posts, most with one for now and possibly some with no posts. I have lots of ideas for posts and things that I want to do in the future so hopefully I can get to these at some point.

Thanks for joining me and I hope you stick with me to see where I end up on this blogging journey.

    1. Thank you! I have lots of post ideas it’s just getting them all written and scheduled. I’m looking forward to where I end up from here, the first year has been so good.

Haha well if we could do a bit of a swap that would help us both fill out our maps.

    1. Thank you! I always appreciate the cake and The Arbiter has definitely had some cake practice recently so it should be good. I’m looking forward to my next year of blogging and I’m very glad to have met you as well (I think you are right about it being during Creative Christmas).

    1. Thank you! Hmm now there’s an idea… just to get myself travelling to all the countries I haven’t had a view from. Ah well that probably won’t happen but maybe someone from these countries will find me.
