It has taken a while, just over 2 months, but I am going to respond to the blog awards I have been tagged in (one more to go after this). This Sunshine award comes from the loveliest Dragon around, The Dragon’s Tea Party. If you want to check out her questions for me and her answers from the questions she got then look no further than this post. Also check out her blog in general as it is fantastic. In particular look at her Nuzlocke journey as it was quite a tale and so fun to follow along with.
As usual, there are some rules:
Thank blogger(s) who nominated you in a blog post and link back to their blog.
Answer the 11 questions the blogger asked you.
Nominate 11 new blogs to receive the award and write them 11 new questions.
List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post and/or on your blog.
Now onto the questions that I have been asked.
Are you going on holiday this year? (Or where have you already been on holiday this year?)
I don’t have anything booked to go anywhere yet but have had a couple of days away at the coast earlier this year. Hoping to go away later in the year after visiting family for a big birthday celebration but we haven’t decided yet where we would go.
Type “I want a” into your phone and then let predictive text come up with the rest, then tell us what it says! (OK, this isn’t a question but I think it’s fun.)
So I did this on my tablet that I usually use for blogging/emails quite often so it came out looming as though it would be gaming related and then went odd… I want a certain level and the one that makes sense.
Have you ever met someone famous?
I’ve been to a few comic cons and met a few people. The best were Odo, Major Kira and Rom from Star Trek Deep Space Nine. All were so amazing. Odo (René Auberjonois) and Kira (Nana Visitor) were sat next to each other and having a laugh together which was great. Rom (Max Grodénchik) was just so happy and friendly. He was amazing to chat to and he was enjoying talking to absolutely everyone.
What was the last thing you read? (Or the last movie you watched if you’re not into reading.)
The last film I watched was Deadpool 2 and the last book I read was a Firefly graphic novel.
What is the strangest thing you’ve ever eaten?
I’m not an adventurous eater by any means, so I can’t work out what is the strangest thing I have eaten is. It probably doesn’t sound very strange to most people.
What would be your dream guest line-up a Comic Con?
If I got to meet people from Criminal Minds and Firefly would be high on my list. I’d love to meet some of them.
You have to fight a minotaur, answer a difficult riddle, or climb a mountain to advance to the next stage of your life. Which one would you choose to do?
I would be in no way strong enough to fight a minotaur. So scratch that one off the list. Riddles are possible. I enjoy puzzles and riddles could be best one. Climb a mountain sounds a bit much for me… Though the view from the top would be amazing. Actually I think I’ll go with climb a mountain, then I can also get fit at the same time. Or just never advance to the next stage of my life.
Which TV show is your guilty pleasure?
I don’t know if I class any shows as a guilty pleasure. I’m not really embarrassed to admit that I watch various shows. I guess for me guilty pleasure TV shows are ones like Don’t Tell the Bride as they can be daft, give you a good laugh but there is really not much to it other than grooms making some ridiculous choices. Some seriously ridiculous choices.
If you were to get sucked into a video game, like in the new Jumanji movie, would you be secretly pleased?
This would very much depend on the video game and what happened to me whilst in the video game! Generally I’d say yes as it would give you another experience of the game and you could explore it in a way you never have before. That said don’t suck me into a game in the middle of a disaster. Give me a nice happy place like Stardew Valley.
Which video game do you come back to over and over again and why?
I come back and back to the Pokémon games, various puzzle games like Picross, racing games and platformers. I think these can be played over and over again and there is some comfort in them. All in different ways, but at various times they are what I am drawn back to.
If you could play only three games for the rest of your life, what would they be?
Can I count series? Pokémon would be one of them and I don’t know about what specific game within the series I would choose. The other two would be Assassin’s Creed series (sorry but saying the series works here) because I could then maybe get through all the games and finally something like Just Dance. I love these games as they keep me dancing, at least when I have the space which I sort of do now. They are fun, a laugh when you start going wrong or a dance goes in a way you aren’t expecting when you do a song for the first time.
So I’m not going to ask questions or nominate people this time. If you want to answer something, you can choose the questions I was asked and tag me so I can see what you say. My plan is to do some nominations after the next award post so keep your eyes peeled.
