August Gaming

What have I been playing this month?

This month has mainly been focused on Mass Effect: Andromeda (Xbox One), however I have also had some time on each of the following games.

Mass Effect Andromeda

Mass Effect: Andromeda (Xbox One):  The main gaming focus of this month.  I’m spending a lot of time on the additional tasks and ensuring I am exploring each of the worlds as fully as possible.  I personally am enjoying this.  The worlds can be annoying (I’m talking to you Havarl!), but most of the time are beautiful and there are lots of tasks and missions to keep me busy.

Slime Rancher (Xbox One):  This August Games with Gold title got me in with its colourful and fun look, and I figured it was worth a play.  I have had some fun on this, and will be playing it now and again in the future.  I have only spend a little time on this on and off but it’s a nice simple, relaxing game to mess about in for a while.

Steep (Xbox One):  I picked this up recently as I used to love snowboarding and skateboarding games on the PS1/PS2 so thought this might bring me back to how much I enjoyed those games back then.  I must admit I haven’t got far into exploring the world or taking part in challenges but the world looks fantastic.  I’m looking forward to continuing this.

Lego Marvel Avengers (Xbox One): I have been trying to finish collecting the gold bricks and characters so now I play when I have a short time available to finish the game.  As per usual the Lego games are great fun (and slightly frustrating when trying to get the last collectibles!).  I have enjoyed the jaunt into the Marvel universe and Lego look and feel.

Forza Horizon 3 (Xbox One): I had the desire to pick this up again about a week or two ago and have fallen in love with it all over again.  Seriously fun races in the beautiful Australian setting with lots of cars to choose from.  Just don’t remind me how annoying it is to try to drive down every road…

Pokémon Sun (3DS):  I love Pokémon games and have done since I first played Pokemon Blue on the Game Boy.  I have so many fantastic memories of these games.  This game has such a different feel to it and I love it.  I’m still making my way through the Aloha region trying to catch ‘em all.  Hopefully Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon will be just as great when they arrive later this year.

What have you all been playing this month?  Let me know in the comments.
